Erik Santos launches New Album, Reveals former manager, Boy Abunda " May Tampo " for leaving his stable

Prince of Pop, Erik Santos, now also " Ultimate Serenader", released his 6th and latest album entitled " Awit Para Sa'yo" The album composed of 14 songs consisting original pinoy music and a number of covers.

"Kulang Ako Kung Wala Ka", "Kailan Ka Magiging Akin", “Hindi Na Magbabago", "Sana Ikaw", "Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka" are some of the songs included in the album.

With his recent announcement during the Star Magic Ball, that he is now under Star Magic and co-managed by Cornerstone, a lot of speculations and questions were raised why he left Backroom which is owned and managed by Boy Abunda.


During the presscon, reporters are eager to ask what happened and why he moved to Star Magic. " Changes in management " was the reason he gave to the press. Reporter Reggie Bonoan asked if Erik talked to Boy Abunda before making his decision to move to Star Magic, Erik said that they already talked through the phone last month ago. But Reggie sAid that she interviewed Boy Abunda sometime last week and he could not recall talking to Erik.

But as the press was starting to pack up and only a few media left, Veteran reporter Ethel Ramos arrived late and started to interview Erik regarding his current relationship with Boy Abunda and his move to Star Magic.


Through her subtle and persuasive manner of dishing out questions and making celebs spill the beans, Ethel Ramos was able to get a straight answer from Erik. " Sige, ayaw ko na ng pa-showbiz answer, Totoong MAY TAMPO sa akin si Boy Abunda. " but he reiterrates that he still values Boy Abunda and considers him his " pangalawang ama sa showbiz ".


The night ended with Ethel Ramos advising Erik Santos to be the one to make the first move into reconciling with former manager Boy Abunda. " Ikaw ang mas bata at ikaw ang nang-iwan... Boy was truly hurt when you left Backroom, he considers you like a son to him... " said Manay Ethel.

Visibly emotional and moved to nearly being teary eyed, Erik Santos agreed with the advise of Manay Ethel Ramos. Thoughout the interview, you could see that Erik is sincere and willing to work things out with Boy Abunda. Only time will tell when and hopefully soon Erik will be able to have a heart to heart talk with Boy Abunda.
